Do I need this?
Not to start. You can connect WhatsApp and chat with customers without it.
You need it to:
- Add more than 2 phone numbers (Meta raises the limit, usually to 20).
- Start conversations with more customers per day (campaigns, reminders).
- Apply later for the blue tick (Official Business Account).
Before you start
Keep these ready:
- Legal business name exactly as on your documents.
- Business address and phone number.
- Website that shows the business name, and a business email on that domain if you have one.
- One document showing the legal name. Examples commonly used in India: GST certificate, Udyam/MSME certificate, certificate of incorporation, shop & establishment licence, or a utility bill in the business name.
Steps
- Open Meta Business Suite → Settings (Business Settings).
- Go to Business info and check the legal name, address, phone and website match your documents. Fix them first.
- Open Security Centre (in some accounts it's under Business info → Business verification) and click Start verification. If the button is greyed out, finish filling in Business info first.
- Pick your business from the list, or enter its details.
- Upload your document.
- Choose how Meta confirms you — email, phone call, SMS, or a domain check — and complete it.
- Submit.
After you submit
- Meta shows the status in Security Centre: In review → Verified (or asks for more).
- In Zlotworks, Settings → General → WhatsApp shows the verification status next to your WhatsApp account name, and Manage WhatsApp → Connection shows how many numbers you've used (for example "2 of 2 numbers").
- The Zlotworks page header shows your Msg limit — the maximum number of unique customers you can start conversations with in a rolling 24-hour period. It's shared across your whole Meta business portfolio.
If it's rejected
The usual reason is a mismatch. Make the legal name, address and website exactly match the document, then resubmit with a clearer document.
